DeckPull Support

for Blackmagic HyperDeck

Video macOS

For help with DeckPull, email [email protected]. Please include your operating-system version and a description of the issue — we aim to respond within two business days.

macOS 13 (Ventura) or later (Apple Silicon or Intel). Decks connect over Ethernet on the same network.

Which HyperDeck models are supported?

It is built and validated for the Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio HD Mini on firmware 8.5.2. Other models or firmware versions have not been validated.

What do I need to enable on the deck?

On each deck’s Network settings, enable the HyperDeck Ethernet protocol and FTP (plain “Enabled,” not security-only) and turn on Remote (REM).

How do I connect the app to my decks?

Click + and enter each deck’s IP address; your Mac must be on the same network and subnet. Pick a destination folder, then select a deck to list and offload its clips.

How does transfer verification work?

Every clip is SHA-256 hashed as it is pulled and the file written to your drive is re-hashed and compared, with a pass/fail and both checksums recorded per clip.

A deck won’t connect or shows no clips — what should I check?

Confirm the Ethernet protocol and Remote are on, the IP and subnet match, and a USB drive with recordings is mounted on the deck. If transfers stall, check that FTP is not blocked and the destination has free space.

macOS says it can’t open the app — why?

Beta builds are signed but not yet notarized, so the first time, right-click the app and choose Open, then confirm.
