Parseval Support

Audio macOS

For help with Parseval, email [email protected]. Please include your operating-system version and a description of the issue — we aim to respond within two business days.

A Mac with any Core Audio input device. Parseval runs fully offline, and a built-in demo-room mode runs the full multi-mic interface with no hardware.

What are the system requirements?

The current build is a native macOS app. It runs fully offline — no network connection is required for measurement. Windows and Linux support are planned.

What audio hardware does it work with?

Any Core Audio input device on macOS. The design target is the Audient EVO Expanded System, and Dante via Virtual Soundcard is a documented path. It deliberately avoids OS-level aggregation of two interfaces, which creates a two-clock measurement it will flag as wrong.

Can I try it without a full rig?

Yes. A built-in signal generator with loopback lets you measure with a single mic and no reference cabling, and a demo-room mode streams a synthetic 8-mic scene through the real pipeline so the whole interface runs with zero hardware.

What sample rates and file formats are supported?

44.1 / 48 / 88.2 / 96 kHz (48 kHz recommended), multichannel WAV/FLAC file input, sessions to a single versioned file, and CSV/text export for measurement and SPL data.

How accurate is it?

Parseval’s DSP core is validated bin-by-bin against analytically known inputs and publishes an accuracy specification you can regenerate yourself. Real-world accuracy also depends on your mics, preamps, and converters; it is not an instrument-class (IEC) certification.
